Leaf blade petty, 120mm, 52100 carbon steel. Satinwood

£200.00

Hand forged leaf blade petty knife, from single carbon steel 52100.

A petty knife with a strong spine. Suited to a variety of kitchen tasks, being a very versatile shape, with some hand clearance and a slightly thicker handle than some of my other petty knives.

This knife still has a bit of weight to it, so the heel is still effective for going through tougher veg. Best suited for veg & boneless proteins. Not suitable for deboning due to its hardness at 61-62hrc.

Handle is wa style, of natural wood made from East Indian Satinwood, which has an incredible lustre and rich golden colour. Blade is set with a soft glue that can be removed with heat for handle changing but still remains incredibly strong and durable. The handle on this knife is slightly thicker than some other petties, which keeps if comfortable in the hand whilst allowing for a secure grip in a variety of styles.

It is a carbon steel blade, so over time will develop its own unique patina and colouring, this is normal, and reflects your cooking habits. It will require some basic care. It is a unique handmade item, and has signs of this, please make sure you examine the photos closely.

By purchasing this knife you are confirming you are over 18 years old and I accept no responsibility for anyone imitating or purchasing a blade for anyone under the age of 18.
